A/V Requirements

Dan Pontefract
A/V and Other Requirements for Keynote Speaking Engagements

  • Lavalier microphone (no handheld mics and earhook microphones are his second choice)
  • Podiums are not preferred, but Dan will make do if need be
  • Comfort monitor (if not doable, Dan’s Mac laptop must be available on stage and hooked up to an HDMI cable — and if you’re not using HDMI, we’ll probably have an issue)
  • Clicker (to advance slides — if Dan’s laptop is being used, he will bring his own clicker)
  • Sound capabilities to broadcast videos to the audience
  • PowerPoint (not Google Slides, PDF, Prezi, or Keynote) and 16×9 slides, always
  • One bottle / glass of water

Additional A/V Questions?

If your A/V team has questions any of Dan’s requirements, please feel free to put us in touch.

We’re happy to help. Please reach out to speak@danpontefract.com

Intro Script

Keynote Speaking Intro Script
Feel free to use this script as is or tailor as you see fit.

  • He calls himself a leadership strategist but most people in the know consider him an award-winning and best-selling author who possesses over two decades of real-world, in-the-trenches experience improving organizational culture and leader capabilities.
  • His five books have sold over 100,000 copies while his keynote talks have been viewed by over 250,000 people.
  • He’s a member of the Thinkers50 Radar, Marshall Goldsmith’s 100 Coaches group, and has garnered numerous awards and distinctions including HR Weekly’s 100 Most Influential People in HR, PeopleHum’s Top 200 Thought Leaders to Follow, and Inc. Magazine’s Top 100 Leadership Speakers.
  • His third book, Open to Think, won the getAbstract Book of the Year award and his fourth, Lead. Care. Win. picked up the Nautilus Book Award Silver Medal for Leadership/Business.
  • His clients include the likes of Salesforce, Amgen, the State of Tennessee, Nestlé, Canada Post, Autodesk, BMO, the Government of Canada, Manulife, Nutrien, and the City of Toronto, among others.
  • Sadly, there are no refunds if you’re partially blinded by his ridiculously bald head.
  • Please give a big, warm {Insert event name here / company name} welcome to Dan Pontefract.
