		<description>&lt;i&gt;Very astute thinking&#8230; 18 months back I was heavily advocating for the use of cross-departmental Communities of Practice (CoP) supported strongly with social media (Web 2.0) to capture and (later) leverage the tacit knowledge held within the group. Many who understood really liked the idea&#8230; problem was that the many was a small group within this large public organization. I think you are onto something here, if professional development / corporate training used informal and social learning much of what I was advocating for would have been better understood. Have been checking out various options for user generated content and social media for customer facing training, commercial models are still being developed but what I see happening is the revolution is happening internally. How cool would it be if we could cross contaminate organizations with learning content, you join my social learning network and I will join yours and we can all learn from one another...</description>
